My son is three and gets frustrated easily, but the lacing animals keep him calm and focused for almost twenty minutes at a time. I've watched his little fingers figure out the threading on his own, and he's so proud every time he finishes one.
The bright colors kept my daughter engaged for a solid 20 minutes on the first try, which is rare for her. Threading the string through the wooden holes really tested her patience, but I could see her focus improve with each animal she finished.
My toddler went from frustrated to focused in one sitting—the bright colors kept her engaged while she figured out threading the wooden pieces together. I love that it sneaks in patience and hand-eye coordination without her realizing she's learning.
