The shape side has been a lifesaver for keeping my daughter busy during quiet time—she loves matching the blocks to the patterns. Wood feels sturdy enough to survive daily use, and the paint hasn't chipped after two weeks.
My nephew is obsessed with flipping it over to the shape side, and I love that both activities are built into one solid wooden toy. The beads slide smoothly and he's already pointing out the circles and squares while we play.
The color side keeps my three-year-old busy for a solid twenty minutes sorting beads by hue, and the shape side is already helping her recognize a square from a triangle. Wood feels sturdy enough to survive being dropped off the couch a few times, which is all I ask for at this age.
